Administrative Detail Synopsis
The Administrative Unit of the Miami Police Training and Personnel Development section is responsible for overseeing the administrative
functions of the section. This unit is headed by an Administrative Sergeant and comprises a team of dedicated Administrative Assistants
who work to support the various training and personnel development activities of the Miami Police Department.
One of the primary functions of the Administrative Unit is to ensure that all training and development programs run smoothly and efficiently.
This includes coordinating the scheduling of training sessions, arranging for trainers and instructors to conduct the training, and managing
the logistics of the training facilities.
In addition, the Administrative Unit is responsible for maintaining accurate records of all training and development activities, including
attendance, evaluations, and certifications. They also assist in the development of new training programs, ensuring that they meet the needs
of the department and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
Another important responsibility of the Administrative Unit is to manage the department's budget and finances. They work closely with the
department's Finance Unit to develop and manage the budget for Training and Personnel Development activities, ensuring that resources are
allocated effectively and efficiently.
The Administrative Unit works closely with the Staffing Detail within the Miami Police Department to ensure that all staffing needs related
to training and personnel development are met. The Staffing Detail is responsible for coordinating staffing needs throughout the department
and plays a critical role in ensuring that personnel are available to participate in training and development programs.
The Fitness Center Specialist role is also under the responsibility of the Administrative Unit. A Fitness Center Specialist is a professional
who specializes in helping individuals achieve their fitness goals through exercise programs and guidance. They have a deep understanding of
the human body and the various exercise techniques that can be used to improve overall health and fitness. Fitness center specialists are
responsible for designing and implementing exercise programs that are tailored to the needs and goals of individual personnel. They may also
provide guidance on proper nutrition and lifestyle habits that can contribute to overall health and wellness.
Also featured in the Administrative Detail is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) role. Police SME are often called upon to provide expert advice,
guidance, and training to other law enforcement professionals by developing training programs that equip personnel with the skills and
knowledge needed to handle a range of work related activities.
