Units For Section • Communications • Court Liaison

The Communications/Support Services Section located under the Administration Division is comprised of the Communications Unit, the Strategic Planning & Performance Unit, the Court Liaison Unit and the Building Maintenance Detail.

The Section has a wide range of responsibilities including but not limited to:
1) Providing Communications Call Center services. City of Miami Communications is ranked among the top producers in Florida providing the highest caliber of service compliance when compared to agencies with similar geographical areas and population.
2) The Strategic Planning & Performance Unit provides internal and external communications services to the public and employees by producing the Annual Report, Official Bulletins, the 3 Year Plan and other official correspondence.
3) The Court Liaison Unit ensures that court-related appearances by department personnel are accomplished expeditiously, efficiently and effectively.
4) The Building Maintenance Detail handles the upkeep of all police facilities and manages the capital improvement projects.
